want to support a charity logo on my website preferable that for cancer

We are 3 locum GPs and want to support a charity on our website . how do we go about it. We want to put the charity logo on our website , our visiting cards etc. We will donate 1% of our total gross income to the cause. All now we have to find is a charity that will allow us to use their logo on our website.

We are freelance locum GPs who do sessional work for various locum practices in the South West Dorset and somerset region. We cover 200 practices in a 60 mile diameter. We want our employing practices to know that by supporting us they are supporting somebody who will be donating to a just cause as well.

I think each of us will be having a net income around a 100k mark so a total turnover of 300k. that will extract 3k for for charity by the 3 of us. But the good news is that we are growing and if we grow the charity will benefit automatically as their donations will grow with us.

I am a great believer in destiny and whatever I have "invested" in charity has only come back to me multiplied many times over!

Do you think cancer research UK / help the aged etc charities will be interested.
Inside I am THINKING.

There is only one way to find out, and that is to ask them! Also please do Gift Aid your giving!

If you would be at all interested in supporting a less 'cuddly' Bristol-based charity, let me know. DH and I work for different charities, but both of us have client groups with significant health problems and disadvantages.

Have you tried the Bone Cancer Research Trust? Pretty sure they would be interested.

  • If you can't obtain their logos you might want to link to their GuideStar UK entries - this is a database of all registered charities in England and Wales, which provides detailed information on charities' activities and finances. The base information is provided by the Charity Commission with charities then given the opportunity to update and add to their entries.

  • Hello,

I am replying from the Bone Cancer Research Trust - we are a National Charity based in Leeds. We fund research into primary bone cancer, mainly focusing on osteosarcoma and Ewing's sarcoma. As Bone Cancer is such a rare type of cancer, affecting approx 400 people a year, and mainly affecting children and young people, little funding is available for research into bone cancer form the major cancer research charities and nothing at all from government. Due to this, Bone Cancer Research Trust was established 3 years ago by a number of family groups who were raising money towards research in their own localities. They got together to form BCRT and since then we have agreed to funding twelve research projects worth over £400,000.
Another major part of our work is raising awareness of Bone Cancer in an effort to reduce the delays in diagnosis which is a possible reason why the survival rate for Bone Cancer is low compared to other childrens cancers. Bone Cancer Symoptoms are often mistaken for sports injuries and growing pains by GPs and other health professionals.

We would be delighted if you would consider supporting our work. If you would like to contact me, please email david@bonecancerresearch.org.uk

    Thank you for your time!

    Kind Regards
