Jo, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You *mwah* was looking at SC last night and thinking how expensive they are for the size I wanted 4.5 and here you are saving me £20 just like that :T

Im the same!! Ive thought about getting a bigger one for a while, but was always a little bit out of my price range!! Never had £40 spare to go and buy one!! But £20 is much more reasonable!!

ETA: (see, getting the hang of the lingo) Was really looking for a breadmaker, but had to snap up the slow cooker while i saw it - will make such a difference!! If anyone spots a cheap breadmaker, let me know!!

    Thanks xx

    HHC 12 -12.30 anyone?

Jo Ditto, when you getting yours? I'm thinking of going after work today just incase they run out, I'd slap myself silly if I missed out on it.

ETA: Boooooooooooooooooh they're out of stock everywhere *wails*
  • AnWsMum - you are a star :A Thank you for posting about your new screen.

I went to the 'puter shop and
    1) Turns out the shop is closing in a week or two which would have been a shock when I eventually got there.
    2) The engineers are going to set up on their own and I am now on their mailing list
    3) It was the power unit which had gone and that is replaceable
    4) I got a discount on the new unit (probably because the engineers have all had their redundancy notices;))

OK there are plenty of computer shops around, but I know that one.

  • Good morning all,

I just wanted to post about Tristan, as you have all been so kind.

The facts are that is I don't think I will be speaking to him again. I spoke to him very briefly the other night but he wasn't himself.. I know he doesn't have long left. His friends and family are upset that he won't come to any peace around it - he is still railing against it and insisting as he had from the start - when only he and I knew he was ill that "The cancer won't kill me", but his whole body is just giving up on him and he drifts in and out of 'awareness'.

Talking to him was so hard - and I know he won't be strong enough to log on to messenger again. He keeps sending me emails but the last two were half finished sentences...

I know this was inevitable but I don't think one is ever ready for it. I am not so sad that he isn't at peace - he has never been at peace for the three years he has been ill and though I understand why people might wish him to be - to accept what is happening and say goodbye, it wouldn't be Tristan to be so accepting.

He said goodbye to me about 6 weeks ago so the rest of this time has been a bonus.. but I feel so sad that I will never hear his voice again, or sing to him, or even argue with him again. I love him so much.

I am sorry - I don't know how long he has, but I know it isn't long so please pray or send loving thoughts for his family, they really need that support right now.

    Thank you all so much
