Hi, I am looking at listing some old baby clothes on Ebay, I have been meaning to for ages but just haven't got the nerve to yet, I'm terrified of screwing up
Right first, I remember seeing a calculator on ebay that calculates your fees for you but cant find it, just a table of fees, does anyone have a link?
Also, how and when do I pay my fee's?
Does anyone know when the next 5p listing day is?
What is the best lenght of time to put stuff up?
and what sell best, bundles? or outfits on there own?
Thanks so much, I have experiance of buying but I am just nervous of selling.
Thanks all

I think the fee calculator is the turbo lister? Someone will correct me if i'm wrong.
You choose how to pay your fees, either direct debit, paypal, cheque etc not sure when they take them though, maybe at the end of each month.
I think 7 days is the best length of time.
I think bundles sell best but if you have anything which is special and could sell well on it's own then do that.
Hope thats of some use.
Good Luck.

Well I was thinking of putting together a few essencials into a bundle (few baby gros, vests t-shirts and pants) and I have a few designer outfits I didn't know whether to add these to the bundles to make the value higher there or sell them on there ownWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -

Sorry thats not the one I ment, there is one on the ebay website that you can put in start price and estimated endprice and it will tell you how much your fees will be.
I must say though it does look handy so I have bookmarked it  zWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -

Here's how to pay fees, I've set mine up to come out of my paypal account each month.
I wonder if they have got rid of it then? I know they did have one. thanks anyways.

I have to admit, another user posted it a while ago and I bookmarked it.
You'll find most of my useful posts (there aren't many lol) are things I've pinched off someone else :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Hi there Iwanttosave! I'm new to these boards, but have been selling baby clothes on ebay for the last 9 months I have 100% positive feedback (151 pieces) I remember when I first started, I was worried I'd screw it up too, but I didn't which is quite remarkable! If I say so myself lol... Now days I'm not nervous at all I really enjoy it and take pride in my listings
Don't know about the calculater on the ebay website but if you get turbo lister,it calculates fees for you previous to listing your items and shows you the total for all listings, if you list in bulk.
Does anyone know when the next 5p listing day is? The are quite secretive about these (grr) and will only tell people about 3 days before the day it's self! they normally happen about once every4- 6weeks (I think! from memory!)
What is the best lenght of time to put stuff up? That all depends on what the items like IMO. I find that listings dont get many hits untill they have just a couple of days to go so sometimes I do use 3+5 day listings...I also aim to have all my auctions ending at the weekends and mostly in the evening as I find it can be busier on ebay and that also is a good time to pack items label and have em ready for posting by Monday or Tuesday
and what sell best, bundles? or outfits on there own? Making up little outfits and sets like 5 babygrows and 5 vests wors well! Big bundles do very well if they are top brands/designer ware in them. But people can be disincouraged to buy stuff that has high postage on it.
But I recon the best tip I could give you would probley be to take pride in the photography part...I recon I go a bit over the top sometimes lol by putting the picture of my item into photoshop and erasing the backgrounds and brightening it up. But this all attracts good attention esspecialy if you use gallery.
I wish you the best of luck with you new venture and heres hoping it'll be a good earner for you.... oH yes! try keep the fees down of course the 1st couple of months I got stung for being so into it and I made hardly any profit cos items didnt sell and I was going over bored with extra pics n stuff!
Hope this helps. :heartsmil
