Thanks to all for suggestions. It's getting close now - does anyone know of anywhere that specialises in late availability?

Have you tried park holidays? http://www.parkholidaysuk.com/ Just looked on their site, and they are offering from 1 March 2009. The park in Frenchman's Beach in Rye Harbour (East Sussex) is dog friendly, for example. There parks are in various locations in Sussex and Kent.

Log on to www.therealvisitorsbook.co.uk and look at their late deals page for February or www.lastminute-cottages.co.uk - if you find somewhere, ring them up and try and do a deal - anyone with space at this time of year will be pleased to fill it rather than have it empty - so make them an offer!
