Can you re-sell an all-inclusive holiday?

Hello,

My sister has just come out of a relationship 2 weeks before she was due to go on an all inclusive £3000 holiday to cuba. The travel company will now only refund her £200 due to the time being so close.
From reading other posts and advice I can see that there are some really strict regulations about re-selling holidays but wondered if anyone had any advice on this as she is pretty desperate.

You can't resell it. Only the travel company can.

They may - for a fee - be willing to make a name change - but at only two weeks' notice it's rather doubtful

Usually they will allow names changes for a price!

Whats the details on the holiday? We might be interested in a last minute break

The contract will say what the costs and time scales are to still allow name changes.

As above post up the details as some on here could be interested.

Dates, airport, where, when, how many etc.

have a £1060 holiday to portugal (villamoura, Dom Pepe Golf) 4/4 - 11/4 flying from manchester, great flight times and B&B 4 star hotel.

On a late date like that - it is sometimes cheaper not to tell the travel company, book another flight seat for the new person travelling and the person who is NAMED on the booking goes to reception and checks in at the hotel, all they know is it's mr smith x 2 or whatever, and dont care if there is someone different staying, as long as the numbers are correct. The only place where names & passports etc are checked is at The airport - so find out if it's cheaper to buy a last minute flight for one and see if it's cheaper than the cost of the name change.
