Paypal which account when signing up please..

Just tried to open a new account as deleted my old one as i have a new bank account, when you sign up it says personal premier or business (i think business) anyway personal is for people who shop online and premier is for people who sell and buy online..do i need the premier one and do they now charge as these options weren't here when i last signed up..

Unfortunately PayPal now charge to receive payments even if you are the smallest of fry...gone are the good ol' days of using a "personal" account on eBay.

If you are only buying then you only need a personal account. But to sell, you will need to upgrade to the Premier and Pay Pal will charge fees to receive payments. (You used to be able to receive payments funded from PP/bank balance into a personal account FOC :( ).

Ah nightmare, so if i buy thats it but if i sell i get charged, how much is it does anyone know?..is this as well as the listing fees?
    Thanks
  • If you sell you will pay ebay a listing fee and a final value fee (a percentage of whatever the item sells for). You will also be charged by paypal to receive a payment.

As a rough guide fees work out to be around the 10% mark

You will not get charged for buying
