I really didn't mean to be, and I'm sorry if it came across that way (you probably won't like my next post either
). Honestly, you don't have to explain to me why you bought every thing you did, I was just trying to point out that it can be hard going from a mind-set where you buy what takes you fancy, and one where you don't spend anything on non-essentials because there are more important places for your money to go. I've gone through that change myself and it's not an easy transition, so I was just trying to help.
It's up to you to decide what level of spending you're comfortable with, the important thing is that it's a conscious choice that you're really thinking about, and that you're aware of how you could save more money if you wanted to, that's all I was trying to say, sorry if it came out wrong!0 -
So I fell off the wagon in spectacular style over the weekend

This week I will try to be good, I do have plans for tonight though, cooking for a mate tonight at his so need to go to the shops for ingredients. No idea what to make though so I'm looking for some tasty but cheap suggestions please. This will be followed by a pub quiz with a group of friends.
No plans for the rest of the week except work and my Thursday night pub outing.
I do have a work do on Saturday night though after the show, curry then out on the town, no idea how I'm going to make it remotely MSE  so any hints would be much appreciated.

Dust yourself down and start again. We all fall of the wagon some time or another, but don't let this put off all your hard work so far.
Re the night out - my friends and I try and do 'town on a tenner'. Somebody wears a birthday badge and then we all carry a bottle of wine in a gift bag, so if we get stopped the birthday girl just says that its gifts for her birthday then we have brought out with us for her - IFSWIM. Mind you, haven't been stopped to date and we get a cheap night out and lots of fun! We do buy a drink in each bar though - say 1/2 lager to get a glass. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -
Ok I'm back again, dreadful month, I'm feeling a bit awful about how bad my spending has been, so I need to climb back on the wagon and stay there.
I'll be back shortly with the shocking figures and plan of action.
