Have a car with plenty of no claims bonus. Want to purchase a van for running about it, third party fire and theft-I guess I cant use my no claims bonus I have on my car but have to start again , with 0 no claims? Any one know of insurer for a cheap van insurance for me please?

For this type of Insurance its generally best to go to a local high street broker, they will companies that will "mirror" your no claims bonus subject to certain critera. They will also know which companies willl insure a van for SDP as most companies will only cover business use on vans

The other thing to think about is speaking to your existing car insurers. Most private car insurers also insure vans. They may be willing to give you an "introductory" NCD for your van as long as you keep the car with them. This can be as much as full NCD, but that's usually if you insure 2 cars with the same insurer.

Give it a go!! It can't hurt!! Lots of brokers will get you a better deal for 2 vehicles as well, so it may even be worth cancelling your existing car insurance if a broker can get you a better deal for both policies together.
