Homelessness

Hi I wonder if anyone can give me advice . I have a disrepair issue with the council . although they have sent surveyors and damp expert round they have not told me what they intend on doing . I have a solicitor on the case but they dont seem to be very useful .I have also got my MP involved but to no avail . I am in temporary accommodation and have been for around 4 years . I was wondering whether I should in fact email /write to the head of housing expaining in humane /real person language how its afffecting my children . A friend said I should let the solicitor deal with it .
My daughter has got asthma due to the mold
the rest of use have suffered nose bleeds
coughing and etc
What more can I do to get some help .
At the moment we are sleeping in one room myself and four children (under 15years)
They have been taking time of school due to their ill health
I thought if I write to the head of housing and explain in detail I might get moved from the property into something permenant ??I look forward to any help and guidance I can be given
