Virgin first class temp lounge at Euston
In case anyones travelling with Virgin on Advance or other first class tickets the first class lounge is shut til March at least.
There are temp lounges - well basically corners of the pub at Euston currently.
I used them yesterday as got cheap advance tickets - they are either in the Britannia pub upstairs or the Sloe bar downstairs by platform 1.
Nothing special but free tea/coffee/soft drinks and tray of crisps/biscuits/fruit to help yourself to. At both pubs no one asked for my ticket!
Noticed the left luggage goes up from £6.50 a bag/item to 38 from the 27th Feb:rolleyes:
I did not see one sign anywhere in Euston about these temp first class facilities, had to ask so just posting in case its useful to anyone.

Yes I agree - if I ever get a first class advance ticket as sometimes Its cheaper than walk on fare if no cheap standard tickets online I often dont go in or just nip in for a free soft drink or to use the loo. Ive never wanted to spend long in the lounge the few times Ive had a first class ticket.
I dread to think how much they are spending revamping the Euston ones - and still the main one there is upstairs with no lift facility.
Am sure the money could be spent elsewhere - really dont think Euston needs 2 first class lounges - could do with some seating in the main area!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
