Pontins Southport

I went to the Pontins in Prestatyn the accomodation was awful .

Luckily we also got it free.
If we did get another free, I'd rather go away in our tent or caravan.

They did have some good acts on but that would not tempt me back!

Oh dear, booked to go there in 2 weeks for the weekend. I should have read trip advisor first, the reviews are terrible.

So, what do I do? Can I get my money back without going, it was only £75 but thats not the point?

Should I upgrade to a better chalet or is that throwing good money after bad
Maybee its not that bad after all, perhaps all the 18 bad reviews on TA are by fussy people who should be in the Hilton? OK perhaps not.

Kids are 16 and 13, dont think they could care less if its clean or not . I sometimes go camping in a tent, perhaps I should treat it as a camping holiday with a concrete tent?

Not bothered about entertainment there.

Any ideas?

I went to the Southport site a few years back and we stayed in the 2nd level accomodation, classic I think it was, that wasn't too bad actually, thought the budget accom looked shocking though. We spent most of our weekend on the beach and on the seafront to be honest. Pool was rubbish, might have been upgraded now though.
