We are looking at going to DR later in the year but one of our party has a problem walking distances much more than about 400m. Can anyone who has been advise us of any hotels/resorts (hilly/split level)to avoid or any that would be suitable.

I think you need to consult a (human) travel agent for this. Resorts get developed; lifts break; so even if a place was ideal last week it might no longer be suitable by the time you arrive.0

Hi, We went to the Riu Merengue in November, there were ramps/few steps everywhere and no uphill inclines etc. The resort sits between two other Riu Hotels and I would highly recommend it. This resort in Bahia Mahon and can be booked with Thomas Cook/Thomson/First Choice and Portland direct. Hope this is of some help x
Sorry forgot to say the rooms are two storey's, if you book a ground floor there will be no steps for you to manouvre.0 -
