RBS Route 21/Current Account query

How do I know if I have a full Current Account or not?
As far as I am aware it is a basic account and even says so on my monthly statements - Route 21 Account. But the account is reported to the CRAs (though I am aware some banks do this with basic accounts), I have a Highline card and having looked at the back I'm sure it is cheque guarantee also. What's more, even on RBS online banking under account details it says 'Interest paying current' but having previously raised this with Branch staff they claim it's a basic account (or maybe they said standard).
I'm abit confused as I opened this when I was 16 (now 24) and have never upgraded since but all signs to point to it now being a current account.....unless I am reading them wrong?

It is a full current account but 'standard' in so much as it isn't a packaged account that you pay a monthly fee for.
Sounds to me it's now an IPCA but the statement heading was never changed.0 -
Have you tried applying for an Overdraft on the account? A basic account won't let you have one but a current account will let you apply (might decline though).Kavanne
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse!

Having compared my Highline to a Halifax Visa debit card, i'm positive it is cheque guarantee. And yes I applied for a overdraft yesterday (though was declined) and when it asked which account I would like to apply it to, it showed mine as an IPCA
. Not that it really matters anyway as the account has no benefits over the basic accounts I already have.
Thanks for the info though.0 -
Maybe not at present but you could do.0

I had a R21 account. Received a letter just before my 22nd birthday informing me that this would become a Interest paying account. Didn't happen - received the letter again before 23rd birthday and the change did take place. I too had a highline card that was a cheque guarantee card.0
