De Agostini

Am becoming increasinly agitated with De Agostini over their Radio Control publication. Have bought approx 48 issues at £5 each to build a radio control (the irony of that will be seen later) car. At the end of it you then have to purchase the battery pack and charger to make the thing go for an extra £9.99. Ordered this over the phone and paid by credit card in October. Guess what? Out of stock STILL awaiting deliveries. People on customer service line can offer no insight as to when this will be and I have a plastic car sitting here to the cost of over £200. Will give it a short time before BBC Watchdog gets an email.

Yes, of course. But that's not what I'm moaning about. I was prepared to pay that for the joy of my boy and his Dad building this bloody thing! What my gripe is, is that they are not delivering what they are supposed to make the car 'radio control'!."When you want something said, ask a man.

My hubby started collecting an easy pc thing and after 3 issues they stopped doing it!
Not only that but a code for activating the online software wouldn't work.
Lots of phonecalls later and many codes that didn't work he was no further forward.
He phoned back and asked for a refund and they gave him an address in SOUTH AFRICA!!!
He duly asked if that's where he was calling and they said yes but added that the call was only local rate (phew!)
He sent them off but no refund to date and this was about a year ago.
They keep issuing publications then stopping them. I wanted help on tracing some mind, body and spirit issues I have missed but 4 mails later and they hadn't got back to me.
They're a waste of space and I would never buy form them again! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0 -

Alot of these types of magazines will have the first couple of issues stocked in shops and then after that you either have to subscribe directly or ask your newsagent to order it for you each week.0

I feel compelled to let you know of an experience that my Sister had with this company.
She subscribed to one of their kids magazine for her children. Anyway she was meant to receive a binder which she never did. She called them up and explained the situation they told her to deduct the amount of the binder from the bill. The next thing she knows she's got a letter from the local debt collector asking her to pay up (plus admin fees) or else they'd put a black mark against her credit rating.
I was shocked, that a company such as this would resort to such an extreme measure for a paltry £5, without fully investigating the situation.
Numerous phone calls later without much joy she ended up paying for a binder that she didn't receive just to be rid of the situation. Did I mention she was pregnant at the time and was unduly stressed by the matter.
De Agostini you have a lot to learn about customer relations.
To rub salt into the wounds the software kept on crashing the PC as well.

I had trouble getting through to them on the phone, But when I did, I found the customer services were helpful. They seemed to be very busy probably dealing with the millions of complaints form dissatified customers. I don't think I be ordering anything else from them.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0
