I think she is pretty screwed, PayPal will most certainly find in the sellers favour. This may have to be resolved outside of eBay/PayPal, maybe in the small claims courts.
Never, ever, under any circumstances, use Postal Orders, they are far too insecure. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
I told her she doesn't have much hope of getting a refund she is very upset i think she is new to ebay.
I never pay by postal order or cheque most of the time i use paypal as you are protected if you don't receive the item.0 -

paypal have nothing to do with it since the buyer paid by postal order
if they had been paid for by paypal and not delivered then they would find in the buyers favour as the seller would have no prood of delivery0 -
Small claims might be worth a try, and tbh is really the only route. She could try the police but I can't see them busting a gut to help.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
How can you tell that someone has cashed a postal order? Is there any proof of that? I didn't think you could tell unless the person told you they hadNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550

I really don't think you can - someone please correct me if I am wrong but apart from putting someones name to it I thought there was no other record. Be interested to know if anyone does
I had a look and think you can check from this:
What is the difference between a crossed and uncrossed Postal Order?
The key difference is that Crossed Postal Orders can only be paid into a bank account, except if it's paid into the recipient's savings account or used to pay bills at a post office branch. Uncrossed Postal Orders are as good as cash, this means that the recipient can pick up the cash whilst posting out your items and, in most cases, this means your order will arrive earlier.
Please note: Crossed Postal Orders are no better than Uncrossed ones if you do not enter the recipients name as anybody will be able to enter their details and then bank it. If a Crossed Postal Order has a name printed, then it can only be paid into that person's account. Visit any one of our post office branches for further help. Not been here in years! Hi everyone. I was told by the post office that the postal orders can be traced, so tell your friend to ring up customer services and ask.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
How does your friend know the postal orders have been cashed? Has she completed form P58 at the post office?0
