I bought these a while ago in Lidl's and tried them last night. After reading the posts I didn't hold out much hope but they turned out really well. I baked them for 20 mins, in a sauce of a butter, wine, garlic, salt & pepper. Really delicious.May you be safe. May you be happy. May you be healthy. May you live with your heart at ease.0

Thank you for your comments regarding the tonguesole rolls. We saw them in Lidl and thought we would try them out. After seeing your comment we feel a bit more positive. Will let you know what we thought. thanks again0

I saw some of these and as they were reduced thought I'd give them a try. Totally disgusting, the fish stinks and has a rubbery texture. Still trying to get rid of the smell. I like most fish but that stuff is rank. They feed in shallow water and river estuaries at some point in their life cycle and certainly taste like a bottom feeding (polluted) estuarine fish, rather than a sea fish. Ugh!0

definately sound like rollmops - disgusting things - had to ween my husband off them early in our marraige as i threw up every time i had to cook them for him!!! along with soused herring - yeuccccccccccccchhhhhhhhhh oh - and our dog wouldnt eat them either. or the cat . and the house stank for days. he recently persuaded me to try the mussels in sauce from Aldi - same thing - he ate them - i just threw up after cooking them. sorry for those of you with sensitive tummies ....mine isnt particularly and normally i like fish and shellfish!!0
