I went to Aldi for the first time last month and bought oranges and tomatoes at 69p each. They looked fine when I bought them but they both deteriated within a couple of days and I ended up throwing them out. Never again I'd rather pay a bit extra elsewhere.0

my cheap aldi veg/fruit lasts ages perhaps you were unlucky!0

I personally find our local Morrisons the absolute worst for fruit and veg, (Tesco are not far behind) also I would not touch fish in Morrisons again with a barge pole, the fish counter stinks really badly! I can't comment on fruit and veg. from Aldi but in our nearest Lidl the quality is generally pretty good. I think it may well vary though from shop to shop, area to area.0

I find if you buy the veg at the beginning of the deal, it lasts ages, but after a week or 2 it seems to be the same stock as the stuff at the begging of the offer. Maybe it all comes at once and they keep it in the warehouse0

No it is all delivered daily, however there are certain things that have to come via boat from the Southern hemisphere, while this is not a problem for Citrus and Apples products like Peaches Nectarines Plums and Grapes may have been travelling for 3 weeks then another 1 week minimum stored in the UK until the next Boats arrive. The warehouses are at the wholesaler who have spent £1000,s on cool storage. Peaches are the most difficult things to get right and most end u eating dry or woolly."Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

I've had this happen with more expensive fruit from Tesco and M&S. Aldi would have given you a replacement had you gone back with it. We have a new Aldi opening on Thursday.0
