some swine hit my car, drove off.. ive tracked them down.. what next???

  • Your insurers or the police should be able to trace the registered keeper of the vehicle themselves from the reg mark as they are able to get info from DVLA.

    Or you can apply to DVLA to request the info yourself using form V888 which is downloadable from www.direct.gov.uk/motoring It will cost £2.50 (if you request the name of keeper on x date) or £5 (if you want full keeper history)admin charge and takes 10-14 working days normally.
