Teletext prices

Hi all,

does anyone have any experience of booking holidays from either teletext online or via the tv and which is cheapest.

Do they honour the prices they advertise?

Im looking at booking a week all inclusive in Turkey in May. (Ive been loads of times before and am well aware what A.I. means in Turkey!)

Can anyone confirm whether they put there prices up over the weekend as the prices we were looking at were around the £250 mark (per person) on Friday and today are now showing as £290 - £320.

Will they go down again during the week?

Many thanks, Bobby

  • They do seem to go up and down as I have been looking for a hol in Egypt for two weeks now and the prices are gradually increasing.

They can also go down though!

I have booked through teletext before and all was fine although transfers and plane meals are often not included in the advertised price.

    Good luck!

Thanks Curlywurly, Im now wondering whether I should delay it any longer as I personally think that the prices wont get much cheaper than this now.
  • That's the gamble, isn't it. I wished I'd booked earlier now as I had 2 hotels specifically in mind. I notice that the week after half term 17/4 is cheaper for me so if you're flexible on dates that may help.

Now where near as good as all inclusive in say - the Caribbean.

The drinks are generally beer, wine (white or red) cheap vodka, gin and whisky and thats your lot.

    Food - salad and chicken!

Having said that there are good places and bad places too, but as Ive been there several times (and loved it) the above is generally correct.
