Yes, waiting for a sale to go through... SHOULD go through very quickly (have been under offer a week and am expecting to exchange within another week ot two): cash buyer who doesn't want a survey (it is only a 5 year old house and buyer is a construction professional).
After having our last offer gazundered (January), I am in a "believe it when exchange goes through" frame of mind... BUT at least it should be over - one way or another - within a couple of weeks.
This forums is useful because you often get to learn "the other side of the story": at the end of the day everyone is trying to get on with life, but with the best deal for them and their family...
Good luck

Well, I was hoping for our home buyers survey report to come today, but nothing, hopefully Monday. We are waiting for the mortgage offer (applied January 19th I think), and once we have that and the survey report (the vendor rang us to tel us they found damp and no evidence of damp-proof course) it should all move very quickly, we are FTBs and the house is already vacant. Can't wait to get it, I really want to do the bathroom up before we move in, but I'm keeping busy by planning the kitchen as well while we wait.I refuse to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent:rolleyes:0

Yes, we are in the middle of it all. Hoping to exchange soon. Slightly complicated by the fact we are in Shanghai and buying in the UK. So all documentation has to be faxed/emailed to us. Except the odd one or two that takes ages to come through the post.
I have so many fingers and toes crossed I can hardly function.0
