Just heard back from whsmiths and they are getting more online stock in today and should receive the player next week.

i wonder if getting T.S. onto them has helped? as i asked yesterday and was told there may not be any more coming....hmmmmmmmm

Trading standards are dealing with this, I reported this yesterday. looks positive as they were very interested.

Why would Trading standards be interested?

Its common practice for retail stores to have to sell stock at a higher different price to their own websites. With the overheads that retail units have, there is no way they could make reasonable profits across the board. There will always be a limited number of price matches, and sometimes the shop may better a price , BUT if website prices had to match retail prices, you can be guaranteed that the web price would have to rise, NOT the retail price be lowered.

why dont you phone them and find out?

i was to pick my dvd up instore, they claimed to have none yet store has 20. t.s. are dealing with it, they could just have said what you did if you are right.

I rang customer services, had a go at them and the person I spoke said that she would call me back, she called me and said they were expecting a delivery at 1pm
