  • They didn't verify mine - i dont have one, just made up a name & they sent it - i dont suppose it really matters to them, they sell a unit & you pay the tax.

This is the same offer they were doing a couple of weeks ago, but this one is with a smaller hard disk.

Still, it was a good offer then, and it's a good offer now. One tip: keep a note of your IR number that comes up on the screen when you complete your order. You will need that if you want to chase up the order, should you not get your confirmation email.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Pretty good deal - stick in a PCI graphics card (£44 from PCWorld online) and you've got a decent basic PC with DVD and some gaming ability (although I presume the TFT has a pretty slow response time?)

??? HAS ANYONE RECEIVED ORDER CONFIRMATION FOR IT

5 Days after placing an order, sending two emails, talking to customer services 3 times .... I have not received any confirmation email yet about this order.
I have been transffered to uk sales and customer care 7 times this morning and no one is able to tell me status of my order or order number for my order even I am giving them IR Number .....

I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH A CRAP SERVICE FROM DELL :o:o:o

Any help will be appreciated !!!
  • ??? HAS ANYONE RECEIVED ORDER CONFIRMATION FOR IT

I have ordered twice with nothing appearing.

I sent about 7 emails the first time as they insisted I reorder as my 'credit card had been rejected' even though I paid by debit card. They refused to even acknowledge any of the questions I asked just repeating order again. They didn't ring me back even though I said I would give them a credit card this time, even though there is not a chance my debit card was rejected.

So I have ordered again (credit card). and zilch. emailed them again and so far no response.

My brother has also ordered a different machine 3 times, the first time they said lost the order can't find that IR number. The second time he got nothing he rang and after been transfered across 3 different continents and half a dozen people they took the order over the phone (yesterday) he hasn't got confirmation email yet, hoping today.

  • Just had a reply with them asking me for my order number.

This is what I was asking them! I can't beleive it.

I sent them the Internet Receipt IR number and now they are asking for more information to be able to trace the order.

I don't have any more information to give just my name and the page I ordered from.

I would send a complaint through the system to see if it gets through to people with some idea how things work but it might make matters worse.
