Car Hire...How to do it?

Hi
My OH is coming over for a few days and as I live in a stupid village and can't drive, we want to hire a car for a few days.

She's 22...and had her licence a few years now in Ireland. Is it actually possible? We've done a search for cars and were just wondering also if they want like a large deposit too as well as the money for car hire

Any help on how this works would be appreciated!
Thanks

  • They won't ask for a deposit but you do normally require a credit card which they will reserve £300-400 excess incase you don't return it or damage the car but this is only actually charged to the card if anything should happen.

Other then that it should be a case of book a car either over the phone or online, go to the depot desk, give them the paper work if you booked online, swipe your card, show your license and off you go.
