Firefox problem

I uninstalled Firefox. On the attempt to reinstall I get the message that I would need to reboot first to clear all remaining bits of the original. Fair enough, but despite doing that it still gives me the same message and will not install.

Firefox 2 or 3?
Whichever it is install the OTHER one (So if its firefox 3, install firefox 2 and vice versa). This ones 2 ~ (in case you cant find it )

reboot

Download REVO UNINSTALLER (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')

Use REVO to completely remove all traces of firefox
(Unless you want to keep all your settings, in which case try WITHOUT revo to start with)

Then reinstall the version you want (presumably the latest)

The problem was that for some reason my back/ forward button disappeared. Thanks for taking the time to help.

Its possible your machines infected (Use Internet Explorer for these if you have to)
First 2 are scanners, last is so we can see whats running

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')

UPDATE and FULL SCAN
Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds


Download SUPERANTISPYWARE (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

UPDATE and PERFORM COMPLETE SCAN


Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

SCAN and post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else but scan and post the log)
