Travel Insurance Urgent HELP NEEDED !!! (Trip Extn)
Hi there,

My parents are aboard in India and are currently covered with the AA for travel insurance. However recently they had to amend the return date due to a family wedding. The problem araises is that the trip now lasts 50days but the AA will only insure upto 45 days.

I phoned the AA but they will not extend the dates to 50 days. They also say that the trip start location is now India hence I will find it very hard to insure the remaining days.

Does anyone know of any companies who will insure the remaining 5 days?
If so can you provide details.

Any advice much appreciated urgently since we are in the 40th day.

The only company I know who offer this type of cover is PJ Hayman

It is fairly expensive as if I remember correctly you have to take a policy with them for the entire length of the trip plus there is a £34.50 additional charge. Give them a ring and they can explain it.

The link Teahfc has posted appears to offer this cover as well.

This type of cover is very very specialised so it is not worth wasting your time ringing around normal travel insurers. It is expensive as they do not know what they are taking on eg your parents could know they want to make a claim and want the cover for this although these policies will exclude any claims for things already know to your parents
