does halifax send standing orders with the faster payment?

dear guy a girls, i opened up the bradford a bingley 6% regular saver account yesterday, can i use my halifax account because it sends standing orders a faster payments?

am i right?

The majority of standing orders are paid by Faster Payments at Halifax.

But not all!

"We now send most standing orders and bill payments from your Halifax and Bank of Scotland bank accounts through the Faster Payments Service. As a result, payments may arrive in the receiving account on the same day they left your account. You don't need to do anything to send your standing orders or bill payments faster; we do this automatically.

Where the receiving bank does not offer this service, the payment could still take up to three bank working days to arrive."

Would you also get a Faster Payment confirmation email with each standing order payment, just like you do with an 'immediate' Faster Payment?

I have a standing order to Nat West, it does goes FP but I dont get an email.

Couple of months ago I asked them and they said anything above £500 would NOT go by faster payments. Silly really when other Institutions are happy with FP up to £10,000
