Tax credits and carers allowence

Hi all, was just wanting some advice, i currently claim DLA and incoapsity benefit, and currently have direct payments also, was wanting some advice really, my partner is thinking of going to work part time to then help look after me so wondering which is better to claim for carers allowence or tax credits?
