Salou in costa daurada is great for everything, loads of bars beaches and booze, I'm going in september for the 5th time

  • That sounds just like the kind of place I'd avoid!

How about Barcelona, a city on the beach and loads to do at night? Or nearby Sitges (although supposedly a gay resort, plenty of normal holiday makers) which has beautiful beaches, great clubs and loads of restaurants and is an easy train ride from Barcelona.

Or Fuerteventura, Lanzarote or Tenerife are very nice too. Try RealHoliday Reports for the lowdown on the hotels and resorts.

Jandia in Fuerteventura is beautiful and quite consmopolitan - the beaches are gorgeous and the food cheap and plentiful. Or Corralejo is nice too in the north.

Lots of people are going to Bulgaria which is supposed to be very nice and fantastic value - there are loads of resorts.

I liked the one about 'these are thing's I would like to avoid'. I am sure I'll be saying the same thing in 10 years !

Before you book Benidorm - what about Malia in Crete, it's got everything you're after!

I went when I was 18 and it was certainly an experience I'll never forget!!

can i make a suggestion? ....if out of the previous places you have visited you particularly liked one and had a great holiday there, with your requirements you may as well go back again.
i am not being funny ,we spent years on our med. holidays visiting many many countries and resorts often finding the best restaurants , bars , bureaux de change etc etc the penultimate day before we came back. if you're not into sightseeing and the culture they all seem to blur into a similar thing .
in conclusion for my beachy type holidays each year we go to the same resort and go off elsewhere in the world to do our sightseeing , visiting. we know where everything is and seem to get more out of our holiday as we know exactly what to expect and get straight into the holiday as soon as we land.
nb i won't recommend where we go as it's a personal thing but many do the same as we do to the same resort .
not for everyone obviously but it's a thought
