reclaiming reserve usage fee?

hi, was wandering if anyone could shed some light on this....
my partner is with barclays and ended up overdrawn by about £330 so barclays started applying a reserve usage fee on the account of £22 every 5 days. we were sighned up with gregory pennington (have got rid of them now!!) so on their advice ignored the letters and they said the intrest would stop!
after noticing it wasnt stopping i told my partner to ring barclays and find out what was happening, they then informed us that the charges would stop if they removed the reserve amount of £150 from the account.
the balance is now frozen at £780 so we have incurred approx £450 fees.
however i wrote to barclays asking them for a list of all fees applied to the account in the last 6 years and these fees are not included in there list of fees. does this mean i cannot reclaim these charges?
all the other fees came to £510 so with this approx £450 it would clear this debt if they would refund the fees ( we are in extreme hardship on jsa and with huge debts so going down this route to try and reclaim charges)
sorry this was a bit long, thought its easier for people to give advice if they know the story.

As the reserve is a service offered by barclays which you will have been informed of when they introduced it last year then I would think not.0

we didnt know anything about it until we were getting charged £22 every 5 days, will have a look through the terms and see what it says about it there.
and im sure they could of informed us that we wouldnt of been charged it if we'd removed the usage limit. if theyd sent us a letter saying what it was in the begining we could of avoided all these charges.0 -
as far as i'm aware they did send letters to all customers last year. however if you didn't have the reserve and subsequently went o/d then you would have got their standard charges anyway.0

chances are my partner looked at it, didnt read it and threw the letter away! as normal.
atleast if they had been normal od fees we could try and claim them back.
im really upset about this because it could of been avoided.. oh well will just concentrate on trying to get the other fees back if theres no hope with these. thanks for your opinion/comments willo65, its appretiated (even if its not what i really wanted to hear!).0 -
at least if they had been normal od fees we could try and claim them back.
''This waiver does not cover any complaint made about Barclays' new current account product, Personal Reserve, which was launched on 18 August, 2008. If you have a complaint about our new product this can still be made and will be responded to in the usual way.''

Noting that this service was introduced after the charges reclaim processes were in full swing, I would have thought that Barclays legal eagles would have spent time devising a scheme that would stand up to scrutiny in a Court of Law?Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
Why? Barclay's legal eagles are still claiming their previous schemes would stand up to scrutiny in a court of law and so far they've been proved wrong.0
