Income protection

Options
Hi I'm looking out for income protection insurance and noticed alot have a initial period of 90 to 120 days where they will not pay out for unemployment. Is there any company that will cover you instantly or has a shorter period than this ?
Thanks

Yes there are but you have to qualify (eg mortgage, employer, time in employment, etc).

So the answers are yes and yes but maybe not for you.

Go and see an Independant Financial Advisers preferably one that specialises in income protection. They will know all the small print and find the most suitable one for your personal circumstances.

If you buy one of the internet and you make a mistake its your problem you have no come back on any one. If you see an Independent Financial Adviser and they make a mistake you can normally sue them for compensation as they carry insurance to cover giving the wrong advice
  • 18 months ago yes now you have little chance of getting instant payout
