  • Hi - another weekend.............

Will be eashing the car inside and out today in readiness for my Mammy visting me tomorrow to go househunting (she's going to help me decide whether to buy or not) so lick of paint in the hall, washing the car and hopefully finding sometime to sit on my backside and relax too!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • Morning Bathgate! good luck with the house hunting-great time to buy...(if you can get a mortgage...)

Your list of winnings is impressive btw.

  • The winnings have been a bit slow in 09!! I didn't even know what Voldemort was but I've been told it's a Harry Potter baddy. My tub of superglue would also come in handy if I move as there would be the inevitable list of broken things to fix!

Morning - good luck with house hunting BGB.

Thanks Bunny - Well, the date was 'interesting'!

I was half an hour late (bad traffic) and he was just about to leave (I HAD texted to say I would be late but maybe not quite THAT late :o).

Anyway, I just got there before he drove off, but we did miss the lanes we had booked at the bowling alley. The next available ones weren't for another hour, so we went for a drink first.

We got on well, we had a couple of drinks (non-alcoholic....how scary, to be doing it sober!!), we went bowling (I lost massively), then we went to the pub for another drink.

He was a bit...um....touchy-feely lol.....and I was a bit worried because although I liked him, and thought he was cute, I didn't really fancy him, and for me there was no spark, so I had kind of decided not to see him again.

Anyway then he walked me to the car and kissed me goodbye, and that was it really........except he was a really good kisser, and now I'm in two minds about seeing him again, lol!! :rotfl:

  • Snags,
    Go again...

Sometimes 'instant attraction' isn't such a great thing...it can make us find someone attractive for all the wrong reasons and we then put it down to all sorts of thiings! ie. love at first site, soulmates etc etc when it can be a whole load of nothing-just chemicals.

Even if nothing comes of it aside from friendship-is that a bad thing?

  • ooooh snags. Yeah, I agree with Bunny. Go again. If you decide after that you still dont like him then thats ok but given you might have been stressed being late (and losing at bowling LOL) you might not have been in best frame of mind. And if nothing else, you should get some more kissing! ;)

Well I can't see him again for a couple of weeks now anyway, so I guess I have a bit of time to think about it. And I know what you're saying about instant attraction, but I didn't sense a spark between us at all to be honest (and he made it pretty clear he wanted a lot more than friendship), so I dunno.....I'm really in two minds.

It could be partly because I still have feelings for someone else I suppose, but I don't know how to switch those feelings off.

Especially Luc - lets hope things get moving in the right direction today.

And Inkycat - who starts her new job today - hope it all goes well.

I am off today and I am preparing for my weekend of running and then a day of pampering on Monday......

Ho hum see you all later peeps.......

    Sammy xx
    Evening everyone

The job went really well, it's through an agency (accountancy), so it was a sort of a "working interview" obviously said / did something right, 'cos they want me back for the whole 6 month contract.
Was really, really nervous, hadn't worked since last year, so it felt really strange.

Sorry to be all bright & breezy Sally, when your OH has lost his job :o

Catch you all later, off to do a bit of (window) shopping & meet a couple of mates for lunch at Strada
