Vista Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise have it built into the operating system, for details see http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/99959-encrypt-decrypt-folder-file.html
TrueCrypt is open source and gets good reviews although I've never used it - www.truecrypt.org
Paid for solutions are at www.folder-password-expert.com & www.everstrike.com - I have not tried these either.0

well, found with 'my folder', that if you unistall it (doesn't ask for password) it uninstalls and leaves the unprotected folders behind!!
trying truecrypt now, anyone know if this is the case with this s/w as well??
