m & s money reclaim

have been happily paying £1 per month by agreement to m & s credit card due to change in circumstances

wrote to them asking for list of charges and copy of original form that i signed etc

i got a letter demanding £3500 ish the full balance and a copy of the form i signed with lots of info not completed

no employers details
no document reference ie the id that i supplied at the time although the box for credit/debit id was ticked
there was also a copy of the terms and conditions which were ineligiable a really bad photocopy which is blurred and i cant read at all

what should i do

i cant afford the minimum payments due to seperation less hours at work etc and hence the £1 per month payments which i have kept to for over a year now trying to show then inability rather than not wanting to pay

anyone any advice

thanks in advance

the letter was rather abrupt threatening further action etc

  • Hi

I had the same problem with M & S Money, I only requested details of charges and they sent me a copy of my agreement with a photocopy of the current monthly statement just showing the small balance which is owing.

I wrote back to them stating that they had not provided the information from my original request and if they did not sent it I would be reporting them to the Information Commisioner.

Within 7 days I had received the charge details so perhaps you could write back again.

    I hope this helps

they told me to just carry on paying £1 month got his name

asked for statements they will send them in a couple of weeks
