Grab a free child place or wait for a bargain?

Hi,
Been looking online for a couple of weeks at holidays and the free child places seem to be disappearing fast. Not sure whether to book quick or to wait for a bargain. Holidays I had in mind with First Choice have jumped up in price:mad:
We can't be flexible with dates this year due to work. We can go away 4th or 5th July for a week, we don't mind where to but would prefer all inclusive flying from Manchester,for as cheap as possible (around £1500 or less) and preferably not all in one room. There are 2 adults and 2 kids (11 & 9).
We would be grateful for any advice or suggestions.

what about booking separately.

Flights with Ryanair from Liverpool to Reus on 4th July, return 11th July = £274 +baggage.

From Alpharooms.com 1 room at Villamarina Club in Salou, AI £820. You could have a 2 bedroom apartment for £1134.

Def doable for less than £1500.

I will look into it and let you know how I get on. We have booked separately for the past couple of years and had great holidays.

Last year I went to salou with the kids at the begining of July paid £200 for flights (ryanair) and hotel (thomson playa park hotel half board), that was for 4 nights for 3 of us! would of cost around an extra £50 to book the hotel for a week.
The cheapest package I could find was £250 each, so I was really happy.

Doesnt always work out cheaper to get a free child place as sometimes it pushes the adult price up, always check it both ways.
