    Thanks for all the responses

    I'm currently leaning towards beginning my trip at ....

    Loch Lomond for 6nights.
    then up to
    Brora for 3or4 nights & see the far North
    then down & across to
    Shiel Bridge for 6 nights
    then down to
    Oban for 6nights
    then
    a stop off somewhere on way home.


    If anyone sees anything thats amiss or i has any feedback then please let me know ;)

    SIX nights near Loch Lomond !! I lived near Loch Lomond for ten years, although it is very scenic - not for six days. A couple of days, then use the balance further North.

    thanks for that, its actually Loch Tay (my mistake) ... would you still do the same & can i ask why ... is it that not enough there ??

    From loch Tay you could cover quite an area, Pitlochry and loch Faskally dam, Queens view and the soldiers leap, Aberfeldy and Grantully rapids, Taymouth castle, Killin and the falls of Dochart, Fortingall Yew tree and Ben Lomond and at a stretch, Lochearnhead and loch Lomond/Callander.
