Renting my right to buy House?

I exercised my right to buy on my council house and am in my second year of mortgage. I have since met a new partner and I would like to move in with him. Can I rent out my house until I am ready to sell it? Thanks

    Check the terms of your agreement - usually three years I think.

    Remember you will also need permission from your lender, along with landlord's insurance and gas certificates if applicable.

    Most RTB deals allow you to rent the property out from day one, but check your particular agreement - some councils impose a restriction on letting out for anywhere from 3-7 years.
