Have sent several requests to lloyds for 6 years worth of statements, To BLS Collections basicly lloyds and direct,
Both have failed to respond to the letter, Or cash the cheques, So i range bls collections who are dealing with the account, They refused constantly to hold action on my account, But in the end was giving a number to andover charges centre.
Rang this number, A girl answered said she was sorry etc, But she would start the ball rolling without needing the statements, Explained was in hardship, She said she would work out the charges i have had, And i will receive a response in writing, She gave me her name and everything,
This does seem very odd ?, Shall i just hold tight, Or do you think its worth dropping a letter in at the branch addressed to the manager

Here is my experience with Lloyds. Asked for statements (still active account). Finally received them back in 2007 and put a claim in. All got put on hold due to OFT case. Wrote in January this year as both hubby and I on JSA and laid off work. Hardship claim, arrears, debts etc.
Got letter saying claim being looked at - usual letter - allow us 4/8 weeks to get in touch. Then yesterday got exactly the same letter again.
I do not have any overdraft on the account, and am therefore seeking the charges to make living a bit easier at the moment and help pay the way.
However, I called yesterday and explained that I had got the same letter. He said, we are not refunding charges under any circumstances and there is nobody authorised to do so. Due to the OFT case, they are obliged to try to help you with paying back their overdraft by way of a reduced payment plan, and in hardship claims can assist in any further charges that are due on the account, but will not refund.
I am not sure if they can do this, as the stories coming from people claiming through the OFT at the moment, do not seem too promising. I think some of the other banks are just refunding to help out, but Lloyds are doing the bare minimum.
Follow it through as far as you can and good luck.0 -
I went into the bank and asked for my statements. It's an old account and I didn't give them my new address or anything. Just said I wanted them in branch to be collected. They were there a week later and I picked them up. Haven't put in my claim yet and don't know how I will fare but I said I wanted the statements. They asked me if it was for bank charges as they do just a statement of charges. Call me suspicious but I didn't trust them so said it was for something personal that I needed to go over my statements for and they got me them. Been treated like carp for too long by Lloyds to trust them an inch. It does leave you with a lot more work to do though, sifting through them but I wanted to play it safe.0
