Hi, I'm looking for some advice! I was super happy to get a letter from Egg refunding me just over £2,500 for PPI and interest but they applied it to my card. As I having some financial difficulties at the moment (aren't we all!) I wanted this in real money so tried to do a balance transfer online (which it said was successful). When this didn't happen I contacted Egg and apparently they changed my account to repayment only last year so I can't access the funds. This is very frustrating and any advice would be appreciated!

Hi there
I have also left a post for you over on the other thread where you posted as well and hopefully someone will post up to advise you on your case here.
Great news on your success though, well done, .
If this comes as a problem for you, the Financial ombudsman service may suggest you write to EGG as a complaint and use the same procedures as you do when reclaiming, such as waiting the 8 weeks and if they do not resolve this in that time the FOS will be able to investigate this for you, but I do not know for certain, here are the contact details of the FOS anyway, just in case

Or otherwise wait and see what other posters suggest, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
