Corporate Bonds Halifax

Just looking for opinions on the current state of corporate bonds as i dont understand them that well..

My mother has some invested with Halifax and she has a loss of £11k so far on her initial fund investment. we are looking at pulling them out and putting them somewhere with less risk and loss.. obv halifax are saying leave them things will improve but im not sure they will.

Appresiate any advise..

    Halifax are tied agents and their remit does not allow them to recommend cancellation of products. So even if you had the worst product in the world they would have to say that. Although their fund is one of the worst in its sector.....

    That would be cash then.

    Actually fixed interest had a rubbish September and October but since then its being doing quite nicely. As long as you have a decent spread of bonds and cover the different sectors it should be fine for the long term. Problem is you dont get that with Halifax.

    Fixed interest is probably at its best for potential at any time in the last 20 years. Problem is that potential doesnt always follow through. Although at the moment it is (unless you are with the Halifax).

    far too many options to narrow it down on what you have said. If you dont want any investment risk but dont mind shortfall or inflation risk then you should go with cash.
