Wireless network Arrrrrrrggghhhh!

Ok, trying to get a second XP PC connected to my
Netgear DG834G router. The PC I am trying to connect is
showing as connected with 'excellent' signal strength. Although
when I log into my router's admin page and click 'connected devices'
it only show's the main PC which is hardwired in. I can not
open any web pages in I.E. or Firefox on the second PC.

My ISP is AOL(yes I know).

Any ideas?

    Got it sorted thanks.

But have another problem now, no sound!

I know there is a website or free software
somewhere that will scan for missing drivers.
    Anyone about who might know?

First physically check speakers are properly connected and receiving mains power. Assuming that is OK then it may be a driver issue, so check audio in Device Manager. Uninstall and reinstall the onboard Windows drivers. You don''t need any free software.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

How far from the router is the other room?

Is there anything in there, e.g. some other wireless device, that might be messing with the wireless signal from the router?
