Reclaiming a Store Card PPI

Hi MoneySavers,

This is my first ever post and I have few questions on reclaiming a PPI on a GE Capital Bank Ltd Store Card.

My first question is can I reclaim my PPI if I'm not 100% sure I was missold it?
(I've had my credit card for such a long time, but I can't remember asking for PPI or agreeing to have it)

My second question is whether I can reclaim the PPI on the Store Card if I've previously claimed unfair charges for late payments etc on the same card? Should I have claimed them both at the same time or can I still claim back my PPI?

My third question is who should I contact? (As GE Capital Bank Ltd is now owned by Banco Santander am I best to contact the former or latter?)

And finally, has anyone reading this successfully claimed PPIs from GE Capital Bank Ltd? Did you have to do the 'dance' or was it a relatively easy process?

Hi there and welcome.

There is no harm in trying and yes keep the charges separately to the PPI reclaim complaint.

What year did you take out finance with GE money?

Will have to check if they were covered/regulated by GISC where the FSA had taken over in Jan 2005.

You could also check out the success thread to see about any success in regards to this company if you've not done so already.

You may also get some answers as well in how to go about this, as I am not sure if Store cards were actually covered/regulated then, however it may still be worth a cost of a stamp.
If you don't try you will never know.

I taken it it would be GE bank as this possibly would have been their responsibity.

I have sucessfully claimed PPI from GE Money.I claimed on the grounds of having a pre existing medical condition .They initially replied with a copy of the original credit agrement but did say if I got a letter from my doctor confirming my condition(epilepsy)they would look into my complaint.Within a week of me sending the letter to them I got one back saying they admitted they had missold the policy.They refunded 1800.00 most of which cleared the balance on the card,which was great.

hi im trying to reclaim back my ppi charges for my store cards i had with ge capital and style financial services which was a first sport credit card, but i need an address i can write off to or somewhere where i can begin my claim please help me
