is the POP3 bit working ie can you recive emails? if so set the SMTP to smtp.tools.sky.com so you can send using sky server but it will look like it has come from your domain.

    Try 465

    I am looking at http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-email-portal-log/757-sky-email-setup-settings.html

But that is for setting up a sky accound for reciving and sending.

theres no 465 im wondering if sky allow it to look like its from your own domain , it says on the pop 3 set up ive been given that some dont.

There was a problem connecting to smtp.tools.sky.com
Show error details Server returned error: "Missing +OK response upon connecting to the server: * OK Gimap ready for requests from 209.85.220.7 e5if1121492ugf.18"
thats the last error ive got when trying the numbered ports they have listed

if i dont get this bit right can i still reciev the emails just not send from that address? as i could always set up wedletterdays@sky.com for now

What email client are you using?
  • ell after saying id just set up a @sky.com version of the email addy i went to do what i though was that and it turns out theres a easy way to just email using your own eamil address you just " add and email address" and it confirms it and voilla all done , well at least it said " you may now send email as customerservices@wedletterdays.co.uk " so fingers crossed

thanks for trying to help , i really appriciate it

  • I'm having exactly the same problems.

I can receive emails to the 123-reg email address but not send any.

    I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2003.

    Anybody got any ideas?
