BMI Baby - £10 flight scam

Hi, just joined to tell MSEs about a deal I got about BMI Baby for £10 one-way flights including taxes and charges. It sounded like an amazing deal so I logged on (which took ages as the site kept crashing) - then I went to buy the flights I wanted to visit my brother for his 30th birthday - then I went to pay...

And this is where they get you - they charge £25 just to use your debit card - so that brings the return flight back up to the 'normal' low price they charge (circa £45-£50). Gutted.

So they are still cheap, but no cheaper than they have been before. Be warned! Plus hidden charges (like Ryanair do) mean that unless you have no bags and check in online and don't choose your seat, you will be charged.

Hope this helps - apologies if someone else already spotted this.

Are you sure there's not some other charges you haven't noticed? Their Ts and Cs say it's £4 per person for using a credit card (except a BMI one) and zero for using a debit card.

BMIbaby's FAQ say they charge £3.50 per passenger per one-way flight for CREDIT card and £2.50 per passenger per one one flight for a DEBIT card.

I can't see the £4 & £0 that Fifeken refers to in their T&Cs - but that maybe just me.

    Mirryas,
although you frefer to the Ryanair 'hidden' charges, I found Ryanair's full list of charges much easier to find on their website than the BMIBaby charges.

How many flights for how many passengers did you book?
Like Fifeken I think there's something more in that £25 than just card charges - uinless mirryas booked return flights for 5 people on his debit card & was charged £2.50 per person each way (£2.50 x 5 x 2) - as per the FAQ link above.

ok.. this is a screen grab

it states the amount you'll be charged for the flight, in total, when paying by different cards.. not how much the handling fee is.

so, as it states, £20 for bmi baby card, £25, and £27 for credit card

so, there is NO scam, rip off or whatever word, people WHO CAN'T READ ENGLISH, like to use.

    Am I being stupid here.

Firstly I hate all these rip off, scam posts etc but the OP is suggesting they have booked one flight and the debit card charge is £25..that cant be right, can it?

And the post with the costs per card suggests the same.

    edit
    ooops i get it now...cost in total ie 2x £10 plus 2 x £2.50 = £25 , simple really
