Help running Batch Files
Comments
-
Created the .bat file as instructed but when I run it, I just get the black box (the command prompt window) for a fraction of a second and nothing else happens. What am I doing wrong here?
That is what I've put:
@echo off
Call C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop\FileSync\Batch Files\My Drive - NDAS to HDD.!!!!!!_batchDo I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0 -
I'm not overly familiar with batch files, but I seem to remember having one that uses "start" instead of "call"... It was to apply a .reg registry patch, but I'm not sure what the difference is off the top of my head.
The reason the command prompt window disappears is because the command is run, completes, then the window closes automatically. I think the command "pause" prompts you to press a key before it closes, giving you time to check any messages that are returned.
EDIT:
Oh, and I think you'll need double quotes round the path name, since it includes space characters.0
