Hi Folks,
I found a machine and have been well impressed with price and quality.
I paid £116 for an 80GB HDD Recorder with disc writing.
Cheers, Wilf.
I made a new thread about it here:

im soo confused over all this. i think i have found the dvd recorder with HD that i need, (Richer sounds here i come) i am assuming if i buy a seperate basic freeview box, i can tune that into the tv/video combi & dvd recorder and voila ? ? ? basically this is for our kids playroom, want to get rid of all the blank videos and get things put on disk, would clear an awful lot of storage space.
We have sky + in our living room and all the tv's in the house are tuned in so what ever we watch in the living room can also be viewed in those rooms, if we have something recorded on sky, at the minute i can record it on to video in the playroom using the tv/video combi, will i be able to record onto the dvd recorder in the same way ? ?
is it best to go for a dvd player with Hard drive or a freeview with hard drive ? ? we are getting freeview realy only for cbeebies for kiddies in playroom, so i thought hard drive wouldnt be required on freeview ? ?
im so confused .. it gets worse ..... dont get me started we also want a pretty cheap digital camcorder ? ? ?0 -
I've got one of these Ellions and have to say I've been very very happy with it. I bought it cos I like the looks and had read some good reviews and it really has been spot on so far. Doesn't have Freeview though.

Before I had that I had a Panasonic from Richer Sounds and was very happy with it, but wanted one with a hard drive inside.
