Premier Inn - 2 night stay only?

I wonder if anyone can help.

I am getting married in a few weeks and there is a Premier Inn nearby where a few people are staying. I've been on the website to have a look for someone, and it seems that it is allowing me to book for the Friday and Saturday nights together, but not the Saturday alone. Has anyone heard of this happening before? I'm scared that they'll end up being over booked on the Saturday night and with it being in a very touristy area, there may not be an alternative.

Thanks in advance for your help.
There is no such thing as a free lunch. Its only free because you've paid for it.

Noone can have everything they want and the sooner you learn that the better.

Have you tried calling the hotel and telling them the problem you are having?

I haven't yet, cos it was actually a 2 night stay I was after, I just looked for one night to see if they had any rooms left should anyone else want one.

I'll give the hotel a call (tricky at the mo, as at work) but thought I'd see if this was "standard practice" - I know that some hotels do this but hadn't heard of it happening in the budget hotels.

    Thanks for your help

Hi there, think i've mentioned before Im ex PI-staff so hope I can help you here.

I can confirm that it is standard practice for some PI's to restrict to a two-night stay at weekends, the one I used to work at being one of them. Its usually the case at the busier hotels (town centres, airports etc) but if you call the hotel direct sometimes if they are not so busy then they will relax the rules a little, explain the reason and see what they say.

    HTH!

Hi Mrs_Ryan, thanks very much for this! Very helpful.

The room I've just booked is for 2 nights, so that's fine. If anyone is looking for 1 night only I'll suggest they call.

    Thanks so much again.
