Hi there and welcome.;)
You could have a case here hun and if you feel your hubby was mis sold this PPI and/or not eligible then I would try to reclaim on this, however also check out other reasons as well to add on the letter and try to out into your own words, as there is a letter template for this as well on the link I will add below, there you can check out other reasons.
They have 8 weeks to respond in full and another letter maybe required if not successful first time round or until you exhaust their complaints procedures, where in the final response they will enclose or should enclose information/details on how to have this looked at further for example by the financial ombudman service (FOS).
Post by recorded delivery and keep us posted, also if you require any further help give us a yell, good luck.;)

thanks for the quick reply
so let me get this rightif he had been off work sick would the ppi not have paid out because his employer was paying his wages?
also he had ppi on an egg cc but cancelled it a few months back so he might have a case with them as well:j0 -

Hi hun
You may have to refer to the terms and conditions of the policy just to check what he would have been eligible for, as some vary to one to another.
However, for example if your hubby had a pre-existing medical condition at the time of taking this out it is possibly they may not pay out on this, yet his employer would do going by what you state.
But there are many reasons for why people were mis sold, you may not have been aware it was added to the loan, or maybe your hubby assumed this was all part of the agreement, and so on, or even pressurised in taking this out.
Worth checking the reasons out.
And any other credit where this cover has been sold on you should try to reclaim and complain on them if you believe your hubby was mis sold on them as well for any reason.
Hope this helps.;)
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
