Funny you should say.....I have recently been in touch with a help agency too.
The thought did cross my mind that maybe, just maybe, they for whatever reason passed my details on?
I hope not! Surely that goes against their codes of practice etc...
I didn't take up their help either..!!73lb lost!!

If this company is Impetus I used to use their leads when I worked at a loan company. They basically will not get paid for passing on your information if you do not meet the criteria for an IVA and/or loan-so if you state clearly you cannot take an IVA because your debt is not enough or similar legitimate reason, they may ring a couple more times but will then probably give up(that's the theory!!)
They are a nuisance though, I used to get a barrage of abuse of some people who had been contacted by them!0 -

I had another call yesterday.
This time the guy introduced himself as 'Hassan' and asked to speak to the 'owner of this phone number *&^%$£"£$%$'...So, they must take on board parts of what is said to them.....Anyway, he mention unsecured debts. I told him we had no debts. Said it a few times and pretended I was interested in what his call was about. He lost interest though as soon as I said we had no debt.
Will try this tactic for anymore phone calls and hopefully they will tail off!

My call today was from Priyank who told me that he was in India.
He was calling on behalf of Crystal Debt Advice based in Leicester who have the website iva.co.uk
Priyank very kindly agreed to delete my phone number from their database!

The call yesterday was from Abby who told me that she was from The Claims Helpline. She was phoning on behalf of Claims Financial Services but did not know their address.
She hung up on me before I could remind her that I was registered with TPS.
