Now they;ve also said they're going to get rid of check in desks:

Smart move.
Begs the question, why can't non-EEA passport / National ID card holders currently check-in online with Ryanair, if they soon will have to do so?
It's not a problem with other airlines, such as Aer Lingus.0 -
Expect Air rage to hit a new high with this idea.
Jeez if you have to make a call or a text message on a 2-3 hour flight then should you be travelling if you are that busy  .
So pleases i have just bought some very good headphones so I dont have to listen to the 'you will never guess where I am calling from' calls followed by 'yeah I will be home for dinner no problem' calls we hear on the bl***** train."Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."
''Money can't buy you happiness but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.''0 -
I am travelling on Ryanair for the first time next month. I expect I will have to get use to the shouting of "Yes I am on the plane "conversations
Still I expect the 1p each way flight I have booked will compensate for that distraction.0 -
Oh great. It's bad enough on a commuter plane for an hour or two, with people pretending they are so important and busy that they have to have their laptops out. Now they will all be puffing their chests out on the phone for the whole flight.0

At the moment only 6 people can make calls at one time anyway, rising to 12 next year...and limited to O2 users until other providers sign up0

and Ryanair charging £3 per minute
I would love to be a Travel Agent :j0 -
At the end of the day i will continue to fly airlines that do not permit mobile phones and avoid those that do.0

That's fantastic news. I've long thought they should do this (all that money to be saved!), though self check-in machines at the airport for those without a printer would make it even better...0 -
Whilst Ryanair still allow you to check in. Do you think it might be an idea if the staff could ask you if you want to sit in a mobile or non mobile section.0
