Hi
Anyone know Pulawy in Poland?
Going there in October for a week and would like some local info.
Main issues are-
Airport - nearest/best
Base in Pulaway or nearby
Public transport Vs car hire
Things to do, places to go etc.
Thanks

Krakow and Rzeszow are the nearest airports - Krakow is served by rather more airlines than Rzeszow which is nearer but has just Ryanair.
Car hire for certain - being Poland there will be public transport but in such a remote area it will be very limiting. Only drawback is the style of Polish driving - just drive defensively and remember the hard shoulder is for refuge from overtaking traffic coming the other way.0 -
No, don't drive defensively in Poland. This is actually dangerous - you want to drive more aggressively than in the UK, as drivers will be expecting it. If you don't, you'll find people making dangerous overtaking moves as they'll see a gap - so generally speaking, don't be afraid to drive the way that the locals do.
A car is almost certainly needed, as the public transport connection between towns/cities is far inferior to what can be found in the UK.
Don't fly into Rzeszow, it's a dreadful airport in a dreadful city. Krakow is far better, and far more geared up for confused tourists
From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
Could you have a the Polish fugitve known as Prawo Jazdy, as the Irish Police are desperately looking for him for multiple traffic offences..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7899171.stm?lss0
